How to prepare for a night of partying?

As the holidays approach, alcohol appears more frequently in the company of friends, at parties and at family or business gatherings. However, after the fun-filled evenings, everyone gave up the unbearable headaches, unpleasant stomach aches, tachycardia and mood swings associated with excessive alcohol consumption. But is there a way to consciously prepare our body for alcohol consumption and thus avoid the unwanted hangover?

Here are some tips to help you get through the next day without a hitch.

Water, water and more water.

Alcohol, like coffee, has a diuretic effect, meaning it causes your kidneys to expel water from your body, making you dehydrated. It's a good idea to drink more fluids, especially water, starting in the morning if you know you'll be consuming more alcohol in the evening. This way, your body can absorb the alcohol in a more hydrated state. Enjoy your drink, sip it slowly, and it will give your body more time to break down the alcohol. Make sure to drink water between drinks. Another way to keep your body hydrated is to drink sugary fluids/sodas (between or after drinks) that have some added electrolytes, such as sodium and potassium. They hydrate more effectively than water alone.

Eat

You can quickly snack on an empty stomach. Alcohol is absorbed into the bloodstream within 90 seconds of consumption. The stronger the alcohol, the faster it is absorbed. Therefore, drinking on an empty stomach greatly increases how quickly alcohol is absorbed into the bloodstream. Eating nutritious foods rich in carbohydrates, protein, and healthy fats before and during alcohol consumption can slow down the rate at which alcohol is absorbed.

Do not mix drinks

Stick to your first drink of choice. If it's wine, drink a little more, but don't opt for sugary cocktails or liquors. Your head and stomach will thank you the next day.

Choose lighter colored drinks

When you know you're going to be drinking more, it's best to drink lighter-colored drinks. Vodka, gin, and light beer are much easier on the body (and have fewer calories) than whiskey, bourbon, or red wine. Darker-colored drinks contain high amounts of congeners, which makes a hangover even more painful. Congeners are biologically active compounds that occur naturally during the production of alcohol. More specifically, they are produced during the fermentation and maturation processes. They are responsible for the flavor and aroma of alcoholic beverages. This is why darker-colored drinks, such as red wine and whiskey, taste the way they do.

Drink BEFORE PARTY

Our last tip, to prepare your body to break down alcohol faster, is to drink a BEFORE PARTY functional shot half an hour before drinking alcohol. BEFORE PARTY contains 5 carefully selected natural and biologically active ingredients that prepare the liver to produce enzymes that can break down alcohol faster when it enters the body. Its main ingredients are DHM, yam, L-glutamine, lysine and panax ginseng. The combination of these natural and effective ingredients helps protect and vitalize the liver for a more enjoyable evening. Finally, not just the promise of a magic cure, but a product that alleviates the side effects of a terrible hangover. It worked for us, try it yourself!

Extra tip

If you are reading this article, it means that you are doing the right thing, taking care of your health and trying to consume alcohol consciously. Ultimately, the only way to completely avoid a hangover is to avoid alcohol altogether.

Until then, drink less!
