Fly with courage - FLYPRO

I am an experienced pilot. I first got on a plane when I was four years old and my parents and I took a long trip across the Atlantic Ocean. Nobody asked me if I was nervous, I was a kid, they took me. We traveled a lot and today, several decades later, traveling and flying are part of my life. Since I also like to explore further afield, I can't help but fly, but I specifically want to fly. Since I was a kid, I have had a mantra that whatever plane I fly in, I will get there just fine. It has come so far.

During my travels, I have seen quite a few people turning white and asking their neighbours for bags when taking off and landing, people praying in thunderstorms, kissing the ground in gratitude after landing and of course also people who treated their fear with themselves - a mixture of alcohol and medication. The worst was a friend of mine who had a panic attack on the runway in England and the plane, full of passengers, had to stop. Obviously, there are people who find flying very stressful and can only fly with sedatives.

I think everyone has some tension, especially when taking off and landing. I belong to this category. When taking off, I feel my human insignificance, I grip the armrest a little tighter and my heart always skips a beat when the loud noise of the engine roaring upwards suddenly stops at the height reached.

We know from statistics that we should be less afraid of flying, because it is the safest vehicle. The probability of someone dying in a plane crash is 1 in 3.37 billion. However, if a plane crashes or a tragedy occurs, many more people die and the media also covers this event more, which people remember better.

But why are we so afraid of flying? According to a survey conducted by Stratosjet, 60 percent of passengers feel more or less anxious when flying. Of these, between 2.5% and 5% have serious problems flying. The most common cause of this is that we cannot control the situation, we are at the mercy of one or two pilots whom we do not even know. Although flight attendants demonstrate what to do in an emergency before each takeoff, in the event of a real emergency, I doubt that everyone would be able to comfortably put on an oxygen mask and kindly help their neighbor. For those who suffer from claustrophobia, it is a challenge to be in an enclosed space thousands of meters high for several hours.

What can we do to reduce our fear of clouds?

If we are less anxious, we can prepare for the flight with various relaxation and meditation exercises. Nowadays we can find many videos about this on Youtube.

If you feel that your anxiety is increasing, it is important to seek help from a doctor and not administer the medication and alcohol yourself.

After Christmas, my husband and I traveled to Istanbul, this is the first time I tried the FLYPRO functional drink. I drank it half an hour before takeoff – fortunately, the plane took off on time. As I mentioned at the beginning of the blog, I am a bit anxious when taking off. Now I felt completely calm, there was no trace of anxious thoughts. I also felt a bit sleepy, so I slept for half of the two-hour journey. The sedative effect of FLYPRO works for three hours, so I felt perfectly fine even when landing. The drink contains pure plant extracts such as Rhodiolarosea and Passionflower, plus added Gaba and L-Tryptophan to help you calm down, relax and avoid mood swings during the flight.
